Should I be concerned about privacy issues?
Each home camera has a user name and password that only you know. Who you give the password to is your decision. If you have authority to allow the cameras to be installed in a particular location, then it is a private matter between you and your family. Caring Eye will not hide the cameras or locate them in an inappropriate place. By signing the contract with Caring Eye, you are legally representing that, in fact, you have the legal authority to install the cameras.
What will this cost?
Since each home or location is different, it is difficult to estimate without seeing where the equipment will be installed. All on-site surveys and estimates are free of charge.
Will there be a monthly fee after installation?
No. There will be one flat fee for your home equipment, installation and configuration. Once you are satisfied everything is working properly, payment will be due.
Do I need any special equipment?
Caring Eye will provide and install your home cameras based on your requirements. If there is already a high speed internet connection (DSL or Cable) and a network router (wireless or not) at the site, then there is nothing else you need. We will take care of the rest. If there is no high speed internet connection or network router at the site, we can advise you on where to purchase these items.
Do I need any special set-up on my PC to view the cameras?
No. Any PC with Windows XP or later and Internet Explorer version 6 or later can view the cameras. The Caring Eye technician assigned to you will show you some tips for easy viewing, but you can view the cameras from virtually any PC with Internet Explorer which is connected to the internet.
Can I view the cameras on a Mac, or a PC using another browser such as Firefox, or with my PDA device (such as Blackberry or iPhone?)
Not yet. Our technicians are working on this. For now, any PC based computer can view the home cameras because Internet Explorer is a standard program included with all PC’s.
